Musical Improv Montréal (Classes and Shows) is a privately owned company, registered as a sole proprietorship, and currently unaffiliated with other schools, theatres, venues, or government agencies. Below are our core values and policies. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us. Program Focus Our program focuses on teaching the art of musical improv in a group setting. While the experience may feel therapeutic, we do not offer therapy. We aim to provide a positive learning environment with clear expectations for participation and feedback. If you are looking for therapy or individual attention beyond what is balanced for the class, this may not be the right program for you. Behavioural Expectation We have zero tolerance for inappropriate, abusive, dangerous, disrespectful, or toxic behaviour. We reserve the right to remove any student whose behaviour negatively affects the class atmosphere or crosses boundaries. Inclusivity and Support We strive to remove access barriers and increase representation in our classes and shows, especially for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, marginalized communities, individuals with physical disabilities, and those experiencing financial hardship. We offer financial assistance and payment relief, funded by student registration fees. The availability of subsidies varies based on the number of fully paying students each term. Opportunities to trade work for program fees are also available. For assistance or more information, please contact us. Contributing to the Community If you would like to support another student financially, we and the community thank you! Please contact us to learn more about how you can contribute. Complimentary Tickets If you want to attend a musical improv show but can’t afford the ticket price, please reach out to us. We can often provide complimentary tickets or a pay-what-you-can option. Please send us a message to reserve. Refund Policy We typically do not offer refunds once classes have begun. Refunds before classes start are not guaranteed unless the spot can be filled by someone on the waiting list or a replacement student. Feedback! We value your feedback! Please contact us directly with any comments, complaints, or concerns. If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can use our anonymous feedback form.
